Lorestan University: Hosting the Commencement of a New Path in Higher Education Management in the Province

The first meeting of the Provincial Higher Education Management Working Group was held, chaired by Dr. Mehrdad Dadestani and hosted by Lorestan University.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this working group has been formed in line with the implementation of the general policies of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and with the aim of improving coordination, efficiency, and effectiveness of the higher education system at the provincial level.
The Provincial Higher Education Management Working Group, with a program-oriented and area-based approach, is mandated to continuously monitor the status of higher education in the province, to improve the relationship between universities and the developmental, economic, and social needs of the province, and to provide a basis for coherent decision-making in the field of higher education.
Among the most important goals of this working group are to examine the current status of higher education in the province with an emphasis on the employability of graduates, to assess the need for specialized human resources required by governmental and non-governmental sectors, to organize and redefine university fields of study in accordance with the development priorities of the province, and to prevent the creation of redundant or non-area-justified fields of study.
This working group, with the participation of relevant executive agencies, universities, and related institutions, seeks to strengthen the role of higher education in achieving sustainable development of the province by creating synergy and effective division of labor, and to guide the path of future decision-making based on data, real needs, and upstream documents.
