Job Descriptions

The main activities of the Graduate Studies Department are as follows:

* Supervising the proper implementation of educational regulations and bylaws in the university
*Reviewing requests for the establishment of new programs at the Master's and Doctoral levels and related matters
*Conducting doctoral examinations and related matters
*Holding meetings of the University Graduate Studies Council, preparing minutes, and sending them to other departments
*Reviewing the minutes of the Graduate Studies Councils of the faculties
*Extracting the approvals of the University Graduate Studies Council
*Holding educational coordination meetings with educational experts of the faculties
*Reviewing student admission capacity based on the number of specialized professors in each department and announcing it to the National Organization of Educational Testing
*Preparing necessary guidelines
*Issuing permits for defending theses and dissertations of students

*Preparing and compiling executive guidelines for Master's and Doctoral regulations
*Preparing and arranging appropriate forms for student affairs based on new regulations and circulars
*Supervising matters related to the writing and completion of theses
*Calculating the cost of refereeing and supervision in thesis defense sessions and sending it for payment.
*Reviewing student problems and providing appropriate solutions
*Performing affairs related to scholarship students
*Receiving two copies of the thesis along with the digital file, and sending it to the National Library and the Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology
*Reviewing student grades and academic years at the time of defense and issuing defense permits
*Reviewing and performing educational affairs of students, such as - guest - leave - transfer - dropping a semester - dropping a unit - extending academic years, etc.
*Reviewing student requests and related documents for discussion in the council and, if necessary, sending them to the Special Cases Commission
*Introducing students to ministries and research institutions for cooperation and assistance with their thesis topics
*Necessary communication and correspondence with the relevant ministry, universities, institutions, etc.
*Responding to and guiding students and close cooperation with graduate studies experts of the faculties
