Academic Achievement: The Names of 11 Lorestan University Faculty Members on the List of the World's Top 2% Researchers

11 faculty members of Lorestan University were included in the list of the world's top 2% most cited researchers. This scientific achievement was obtained based on the latest findings of a joint project by the international Elsevier database and Stanford University.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Dr. Hossein Hatami, Vice President for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, announced this news to our reporter, stating: "This prestigious global list, which was published in Shahrivar 1404 (September 2025), has analyzed the research outputs registered in the Scopus database until the end of 2024 in 22 main fields and 174 sub-fields of science."
Dr. Hatami explained: "The list of highly cited researchers in the world has been published annually since 2019, and in its new version, the names of 11 faculty members of Lorestan University are visible."
He added: "The methodology of this ranking is based on a composite citation index; an index that is a combination of the number of citations, co-authorship patterns, and the Hirsch index (H-index) to measure the impact of researchers."
According to the announcement of the Vice President for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, the names of the highly cited researchers of this university in 2024, in alphabetical order, are:
